Tara Old Girls Association
Archives
The Tara Anglican School for Girls archives are home to a rich heritage collection of records and memorabilia dating from the school’s foundation in 1897 until the present day. Tara's archives collect, process and preserve selected non-current records, photographs, publications, memorabilia and artefacts that document the school's founding, organisation, administration, growth and development, and the people associated with the school. It is a repository for original records of school activities and other selected material.
How you can help
Tara's archives seeks out material that exemplifies the social and cultural history of the school and aims to be a storehouse of the collective memories of the school community. If you would like to contribute to Tara's history and have photographs, programs, student work or other relevant documents suitable for archives, please contact:
Diana Tilley- Winyard, Archivist
Tara Anglican School for Girls, Masons Drive, North Parramatta NSW 2151
Or please contact her via email
We appreciate your assistance in keeping Tara‘s History alive.
Please remember to write names of students and the occasion/event on the back of your material for easy identification. For example: left to right: Amanda Smith, Donna White etc at Senior School Athletics Carnival 1970. Please note, that when writing on the back of photographs, use a 3B or 4B pencil or attach a separate piece of paper with names/place & date so as not to damage your photos. Thank you.
