Scholarships
Joan Waugh Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by the Tara Old Girls’ Association annually, to the value of $5000, in the memory of Joan Waugh, Headmistress of Tara from 1887 – 1946. The award aims to assist an Old Girl in the undertaking of further studies, research or development in a particular area of interest, skill or expertise, either in Australia or overseas. A listing of the past recipients and an Application Form may be viewed here.
Applications for 2009 will be open from 1 August 2009. Please note the closing date is 30 September 2009.

Year 11 Boarder Bursary
This is open to a daughter of an Old Girl who is in boarding in Year 10 at Tara and whose family resides outside the Sydney Metropolitan basin. The bursary covers one term of boarding fees in Year 11. An assessment is received from the Boarding Mistress and Year Coordinator. All decisions made by the Committee are final.
Year 7 Bursary
As a welcoming gift TOGA gives a $500 bursary to daughters of members. This is a one off payment towards the first instalment of Year 7 School Fees.
Gifts presented to the school
Dux of the School
$100 is awarded to the current Year 12 student who achieves the highest academic marks in Year 12.
Junior School
As a welcoming gift to daughters of Tara Old Girls in the Junior School, we give a $150 gift voucher which is redeemed towards the purchase of uniforms from the School’s Uniform Shop.
Year 7 Text Book Certificate
As a welcoming gift to daughters of Tara Old Girls, we give a "Five Senses" Gift Voucher to the value of $150 which is redeemed towards the purchase of Year 7 text books.
Year 12 Gift
At Final Assembly (Celebration), the Association gives current Year 12 students a farewell gift of a silver bookmark, engraved with the Tara crest.
Year 12 students who have attended Tara since Kindergarten are presented with a personally named white Bible with a silver Tara crest on the cover.

· The cost of Bi-fold Doors for the Junior School's Assembly Hall extension
