The Tara community enjoys a number of groups and sub committees who work to support the school and its endeavours. Their involvement in school life provides many opportunities for our Tara students. Everyone is invited to become involved in the following sub committees and groups and are most welcome to attend the numerous community events and activities throughout the year. For more information please contact our Community Coordinator, Wendy McDermott, via email. We look forward to welcoming you to the Tara community.

Parents & Friends
The Parents & Friends (P&F) operates under the auspices of School Council as part of the Tara school community. They provide the school community with practical assistance and financial resources for educational, cocurricular and personal development opportunities for the students. These provisions are offered in a contemporary context with the school's future planning, foundation and Christian heritage.
The P&F provides the school with formal and informal interaction with parents and friends of Tara and the wider community. The P&F plan and organise activities and social events for fundraising and friendship. These functions occur with the approval and support of the School Council, Principal and Head of Junior School.
The current P&F President is Heather Mallett. If you are interested in being part of the Association, please contact:

Friends of Tara Rowing
Parents, friends, families and former students of Tara are actively encouraged to become involved in this school based rowing program, now part of the P&F, to support the development of our rowers from the grass roots to the elite level.
The current FoTR President is Pattie O’Gorman.
Tara Old Girls Association (TOGA)
Once students leave Tara, they continue to be connected to the school through the Old Girls Association. Old Girls have made significant contributions back to the school through mentoring current students, returning as guest speakers and providing financial aid through the Association.
The current Old Girls President is Emma Hull. For more information about TOGA, please click here or contact them via email.
Tara raises money so that we can provide the best for our Tara girls so that they in turn can make a positive contribution throughout their life - to their family, workplace, community and even possibly to humanity.
The Trustees of the Tara Foundation volunteer their time and share their expertise to support and guide Tara's fundraising efforts and advise on the investment of money raised to maximise the incomes of our various Funds. It is the School Council's role to use the money to meet the short term and long term needs of the school.
The excellent facilities which Tara enjoys today are the result of the foresight, generosity and planning of our community, past and present. For more information about the Tara Foundation, please click here or contact our Enrolments Office via email
