A Message from the Principal

We warmly congratulate Year 12—Class of 2019 for the outstanding results Tara students have achieved. There is much to celebrate as we appreciate the hard work of students and staff that has culminated in this great outcome. We particularly congratulate Annabelle Duke and Olivia Tunks for being acknowledged as ‘All Rounders’, which means they have achieved a Band 6 (more than 90%) in each of the subjects they presented for the HSC.

EARLY UNIVERSITY OFFERS

The majority of students in Year 12 (63% of the cohort) received at least one early offer to a university, many of these before they had undertaken their final examinations. These offers are from Australian Universities and Colleges. Several students received multiple offers with some students receiving three or more offers, including one girl who received eight offers. Macquarie University, for example, has made 34 offers with 22 of those being for double degrees. Sixteen students received early offers from the Schools Recommendation Scheme. Congratulations to those students who were offered accounting internships or received generous scholarships, including the Women in Engineering Scholarship from UTS for $66,000. This is a real testament to the students and to the success of the School’s programs.
