Scholarships Past & Future

Future - What we're working towards

Means Tested Scholarships

We see the Foundation’s Means Tested Scholarships not only as an opportunity for girls to attend Tara whose family’s financial resources are limited, but also as a mechanism for exceptional young women to enrich the School community. These girls will be selected for their academic ability, character and potential to participate in all aspects of School life. For this reason the Foundation is looking to expand this program.

Past - What we have achieved

Indigenous Scholarships

Created with the vision of improving Aboriginal communities by nurturing its future leaders, we have been proud to provide these scholarships, where three indigenous girls with promise and ability earned the opportunity to complete their schooling at Tara. These comprehensive scholarships included tuition and boarding fees, as well as provisions for the girls’ health, and social and personal development.

Means Tested Scholarships

Established in 2013, our latest scholarship program upholds Tara’s philosophy of inclusion and opportunity. We offer these scholarships to girls who come from families with limited financial circumstances. These are awarded upon assessment of the family’s means, as well as on the student’s all-round achievement, character and attitude.
