Bequests

In recognition of these strong ties, we continue to be blessed by, and we are grateful for, the support and generosity granted by our extended School community. We have received bequests from generous benefactors who have benefited from and enjoyed their association with Tara.

Tara has always had a strong and pro-active community which is held in great regard by Old Girls, parents, staff and friends.

A bequest connects the achievements of a generation to the wellbeing of the next. After taking care of your family and loved ones, you can make a difference to the future of the School by leaving a bequest to the Tara Foundation.

What is a bequest?

A bequest is a gift specified within your Will or living trust which provides a way for you to make a lasting contribution to something you care about. It is a living legacy of your support for the School and its plans for the future.

By making a bequest to Tara you can retain the use and enjoyment of your assets during your lifetime and still provide a valuable gift to the School in the future.

How will my bequest make a difference?

No matter how big or small, your contribution will ensure the wonderful education our students enjoy today will continue to be available to young women of the future.

Where does my contribution go?

How you would like to invest in the future of the School is your choice. You can see the funds established by the Tara Foundation here.

By contributing to the Building Fund, your bequest can help ensure we can continually provide our students with a learning facility of high quality. By contributing to the Public Scholarship Fund, your bequest can help transform a girl’s life.

What can I give in my bequest?

There are several different types of bequests that you can make:

  • A specific amount of money;
  • A portion of estate after family have been provided for;
  • A specific bequest of property;
  • A specific bequest of stocks or shares;
  • A specific bequest of works of art, collections, personal effects such as jewellery;
  • A life insurance policy with 'Tara Foundation' named as a beneficiary.

Always seek professional legal assistance when preparing your Will. If you require any assistance or have any questions, please contact the Tara Foundation who can discuss this with you.
