What is the purpose of the Tara Dads Club?

Our Tara Dads Club, (TDC) enhances every Tara Girl’s Tara experience by nurturing the Dad and Daughter relationship, creating opportunities for Dads to contribute to the Tara School Values and fostering a spirit of Community.

How do we do this?

  • We organise activities that Dads and Daughters can participate in together.
  • Raise funds which are donated to Tara for the benefit of Tara girls.
  • Provide various forums for Tara Dads to interact with one another, allowing Dads to become active participants in the Tara Community and support network.

There are many benefits to being a member of TDC:

  • Exclusive Tara Dads and Daughters events where not only do Dads spend quality time with their daughters, but the girls also interact with their friends outside of school. We enjoy a wide range of activities including camping trips, ten pin bowling nights, movie nights and BBQ’s.
  • Invitations to Tara Dads Club only events. These events give TDC members the opportunity to get to know other Dads within the Tara community and build friendships. The TDC continually initiate new events which allow Dads to sample new experiences whilst networking with other Dads. Past activities include go-karting, lawn bowls, pub tours, skeet shooting and simple pub dinners and drinks.
  • Opportunities to contribute to the Tara School community through volunteering your time at School events with other Tara Dads. Whether it be helping out with the BBQ at School on sports days and Christmas Carols or helping raise funds at various events. Attending events and volunteering time, allows the TDC to raise funds which are then donated back to the school. The TDC on the commencement of the school year, sets a specific fundraising target which benefits our daughters and the school.
