How to Find Us

Tara Anglican School for Girls is located on twelve hectares of beautiful grounds and gardens backing onto parkland at the end of Masons Drive (off Pennant Hills Road) in North Parramatta, 25 kilometres from the City of Sydney and five minutes from the vibrant central business district of Parramatta.

Our Junior School, Senior School and Eggleton House (Boarding) facilities are on the one campus, encouraging interaction across the School.

Tara’s campus and facilities deliver a breadth of academic, cocurricular, leadership and character building experiences in a Christian learning community.

Transport to Tara

Families who are driving from Carlingford toward Parramatta, should turn right at the first traffic lights after The King's School.

Families who are driving from Parramatta towards Carlingford/City, should turn left at the first traffic lights on the left after the James Ruse Drive exit.

  • Students must be recognisable/identifiable as a Tara student i.e. in a Tara uniform, however, mufti will be accepted,
  • Students must be outside of the family car prior to bus arriving at a stop, so that the student is able to signal the driver,
  • Students must be waiting at a pre-determined suitable pickup point i.e. government bus stop or location stated on timetable above as a pick up point (ad hock locations are not accepted),
  • Parents to arrange travel with the school prior to commencing travel on the bus,
  • Remain seated in the bus seat and buckle up seat belt (if fitted),
  • No eating or drinking on bus (water excepted), and
  • Maintain good behaviour while on the bus.

Tara is well serviced by buses to the local suburbs and to the Hills regions. Our School buses service the following areas: Annangrove, Baulkham Hills, Bella Vista, Carlingford, Castle Hill, Cherrybrook, Drummoyne, Dural, Eastwood, Epping, Galston, Gordon, Greystanes, Hunters Hill, Kellyville, Kenthurst, Lane Cove, North Rocks, Northmead, Pemulwuy, Pendle Hill, Pennant Hills, Putney, Rouse Hill, Stanhope Gardens, Schofields, Wetherill Park, Windsor and Winston Hills.

Buses connect with the train lines at Pennant Hills, Epping and Parramatta. Hills Bus, Busways and Sydney Bus operate bus services to and from the School.

Concession Cards:

If your daughter/ward is using public transport to travel to School and she is under the age of 16, parents/guardians should apply for a SCHOOL OPAL CARD - see link below. 

If your daughter/ward is using public transport to travel to School and she is 16 years or older, she should apply for a SCHOOL OPAL CARD - see link below. 

Please note that subsidised travel on public transport is only available for K-12 students.

If your daughter/ward has had an OPAL card previously and it has been lost or misplaced please apply for a replacement card online - see link below. 

If your daughter/ward is starting at Tara and already has a student OPAL card you will need to sign on to your account with Transport NSW and update the School attending to ensure the OPAL card is active for 2022 Term 1.

To ensure continued availability of the bus routes students must use their OPAL card to tap on and off the bus. This will ensure that your bus route is not cancelled.
