Executive Assistant to the Principal

Commencing Term 3, 2026

Tara Anglican School for Girls is seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Assistant to provide confidential, high-level support to the Principal. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our school community, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Principal’s office.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Executive Assistant acts as a trusted partner, managing a wide range of administrative, operational and strategic activities. The role requires exceptional judgement, discretion and the ability to work in a dynamic school environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Principal’s calendar, appointments and correspondence
  • Coordinating internal and external meetings, events and school functions
  • Preparing high-quality reports, presentations and documentation
  • Acting as a key liaison between the Principal, staff, parents and external stakeholders
  • Supporting governance processes, including Board and committee documentation
  • Managing confidential information with professionalism and integrity
  • Providing administrative support for strategic projects and initiatives

Policy, Risk and Compliance Officer

Full-time | Commencing by negotiation

Tara Anglican School for Girls is seeking an experienced and proactive Policy, Risk and Compliance Officer to play a critical role in supporting the School’s governance, risk management and compliance obligations.

This is a key position within the School, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Head of People and Culture to embed strong frameworks, promote a culture of safety and compliance, and ensure the School meets its regulatory and strategic requirements.

About the Role

The Policy, Risk and Compliance Officer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the School’s risk, compliance and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, implementation and review of risk management frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining and monitoring the School’s risk registers and supporting risk mitigation strategies
  • Providing expert advice to leadership on risk, compliance and regulatory obligations
  • Managing and coordinating all WHS activities, including incident management, training and emergency planning
  • Conducting risk assessments for school activities, events and excursions
  • Overseeing accreditation and regulatory requirements (including NESA and other relevant bodies)
  • Drafting and reviewing policies to ensure alignment with legislation and best practice
  • Delivering training to build staff capability in risk awareness and compliance
  • Supporting audits, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across the School

About You

You are a detail-oriented and solutions-focused professional with strong experience in policy, risk and compliance (governance).

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance or governance within a complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to apply these in practice
  • Proven experience in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), including risk assessments and training delivery
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including policy writing and reporting
  • The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism and discretion

Experience within an education environment and familiarity with school regulatory requirements will be highly regarded.

Head Chef

Full time during term time only (with potential additional casual event engagement)

The Impact You'll Make

As our Head Chef, you’ll be more than the leader of the kitchen - you’ll be a key contributor to the warmth and care that defines our boarding experience. Working closely with our Boarding House and Cafeteria Managers, you’ll collaboratively design and deliver nutritious, delicious, and varied menus that cater to diverse tastes, dietary needs, and cultural backgrounds. Your work will directly influence the health, happiness, and sense of belonging of our students.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day culinary operations of the boarding kitchen, ensuring meals are fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented.
  • Collaborate with the Boarding House and Cafeteria Managers to plan seasonal menus that reflect student feedback and nutritional guidelines.
  • Manage, in consultation with the Cafeteria Manager, ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive, respectful, and efficient team culture.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with NSW regulations.
  • Create special menus for school events, celebrations, and cultural occasions.

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ideally in a school, boarding, or high-volume catering environment.
  • A passion for creating wholesome, appealing meals for young people.

We are seeking an experienced and solutions-focused Helpdesk Technician (Level 2–3) to join our ICT team in a dynamic school environment. This role is a key escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring reliable and efficient ICT support that underpins teaching and learning.

About the Role

  • Working alongside Level 1 Helpdesk Support and an AV Specialist, you will:
  • Provide advanced Level 2–3 technical support across hardware, software, systems, and networks
  • Manage escalated incidents and service requests to timely resolution
  • Support staff and students with clear, professional communication
  • Contribute to system improvements, projects, and ongoing ICT service delivery
  • Mentor and support junior team members

About You

  • You are a proactive ICT professional who:
  • Has 3–5+ years’ experience in a Level 2–3 support environment
  • Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical users
  • Is highly organised and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

Senior School Psychologist (5+ Years Experience)

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary wellbeing team

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a registered psychologist (school experience highly regarded)
  • Full registration with AHPRA (Psychology Board of Australia)
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment, counselling, and intervention planning
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative, proactive, and student-centred approach
  • Ability to contribute to and enhance team capability

Desirable

  • Experience in leading or contributing to whole-school wellbeing programs
  • Additional qualifications in educational or clinical psychology

About the Role

Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with food preparation, meal service, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen. The role involves supporting a busy boarding environment, including early morning and evening shifts, and occasional functions or school events.

  • Assist with basic food preparation and cooking tasks
  • Support meal service for students, staff, and boarders

This is a hands‑on technical role at the heart of school life, supporting classroom technologies and delivering high‑quality sound and vision for assemblies, performances, productions, and community events.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Innovation and Technology, the Audio Visual Technician is responsible for:

  • Managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV equipment across classrooms, halls, and performance spaces
  • Providing technical set‑up and live operation for school events, assemblies, and productions
  • Supporting staff with classroom AV technologies and providing guidance as required
  • Monitoring equipment condition, coordinating repairs, and maintaining accurate AV records
  • Working collaboratively with staff to ensure reliable and high‑quality AV delivery across the School

Casual Sport Coaches

Part Time | Casual

Tara Anglican School for Girls is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Casual Sport Coaches to join our vibrant and supportive school community. As a school where sport is optional, our focus is on fostering enjoyment, confidence, and personal growth through high quality coaching and positive sporting experiences.

At Tara, students can choose from a diverse range of seasonal sports offered throughout the year. Summer sports run across Terms 1–4, providing opportunities for students to participate in activities such as rowing, athletics, swimming, tennis, and other warm weather programs. Winter sports are offered in Terms 2–3, with options that encourage teamwork, skill development, and competitive play during the cooler months in activities such as football, basketball and netball. Strength & Conditioning coaching is offered all year round. Coaches may be engaged for either or both seasons, depending on their expertise and availability.

This is a great opportunity to work in a values driven environment, supporting students as they discover their strengths, build skills, and develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

About the Role

We are looking for coaches across a range of sports to support training sessions, weekend fixtures, and seasonal programs. Coaches will work with students from varying levels of experience, encouraging participation while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal achievement.
