Empowering young women through Sport
ETara has a wide range of sports and activities available to your daughter whatever her level of sporting ability. The experiences provided by physical activity have a key role in providing young people with the skills, knowledge, understanding, values and attitudes that are fundamental to developing healthy lifestyles.
For students performing at a high level of sporting competition, Tara offers the opportunity to join the Tara Competitive Athlete Program (Tara CAP) in Senior School. Organised through the Tara Sport Department, this support program provides students with mentoring, strength and conditioning to ensure they can continue competing at a high level and grow academically whilst at Tara.
Students at Tara's Senior School can participate in Saturday sport via competitions organised by the Independent Girls' Schools Sporting Association (IGSA).
Participating in IGSA Sport competitions not only allows students to benchmark their skills against other schools but also exposes them to an expansive network of sporting opportunities. These competitions foster a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork among our students, promoting a healthy and competitive spirit.
